This kitchen received a 2018 HOBI design award.
The home, built by Gateway Development, overlooks Long Island Sound in Milford, CT. To maximize the warmth of the space, the beauty of the views, and the light from the available windows, the design of the kitchen centers on the main island.
Generous counter space leads from the enclosed Subzero fridge, to a La Cornue range, past kitchen windows that frame a unique black stone farm sink, and then around to a family dining area. The island is Allianza Quartz White Statuary Honed. Generous storage is provided by Greenfield cabinets with Jackson doors painted in Surfside, which also frame the wine cooler.
Extra storage is also afforded by a specially designed nook that highlights heirloom hardware and uses the backsplash tile pattern to echo the design theme.
The owners are extremely pleased with the results:
“My husband and I are so pleased with our new kitchen! It was our trust in Stacey’s attention to detail and her expertise that made the project such a success. We were so comfortable working with her throughout the whole project, that we let her do her magic knowing that we would love the results!”
